Sticks in Spokes

I am all for acting out of independence and quality individualism. But my god if another little hobbit rides his huffy in circles out in front of my house with speakers stolen from a neighbors car blasting the ying yang twins i am going to invest in spears to hurl into the spokes. What is acheived my little miscreants by swerving through oncoming traffic and scaring the motorists, like the kind of scare a lawsuit burns into your mind, not the actual scare of striking one of these mental midgets. Appearntly they missed the school assembly where they fake a car accident, helicopter and all. Maybe they ought to change the show, put a little kid sticking out of the windshield, bike flung into the seats, blood, his stupid little brain laying on the front seat next to some old ladies dentures. Ok, a little harsh, but for fucks sake, what happens when one of these kids gets outmatched by a car. A FUCKING CAR VS A HUFFY? I put my money on the soccer mom, unless you take those speakers off the handlebars and put ET in a basket you are not going to win dipshit. And hey although i think it is the stupidest shit in the world, duct tape the fuck out of your bike, express your angst, unleash that gradeschool creativity, go for it. But one day someone as pissed off as i am is going to swerve towards you instead of away and send your ignorant little ass through a glass reality check.

I miss the GOOD BAY AREA MUSIC

I was spoiled i think. Fed great music for so long the trash being spewed out of some of these idiots mouths is disgusting to me. It's like every one in the bay took the same thizz pill that made everyone fucking retarded. Early bay music was some of the best music on the planet, shit still is. I mean here is a short list of people you should already have memories of----- RBL Posse, the bigga figga, mac mall, dubee, early mac dre--RIP MAC DRE---- E-40 who is still doing great music i might add, fucking nickatina who is my all time greatest rapper, 11/5, san quinn, sac sin, brotha lynch, x raided, mob figahz, yukmouth, WOODIE RIP, richie rich, rappin 4 tay.... I mean honestly, i wathced this music disappear into a haze of young dumb hyphy idiots. FUCK HYPHY. Yep, fuck it. That shit took even the greatest rappers and spit them into a drugged out frenzy of horrible music. I understand the movement and what it represented and the people it showcased. But, in my opinion, being a bay area resident and honest supporter of any local artists, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? Step it up. I love to hear some of those songs still, it almost puts me in a mood to get faded, but the few still supporting the type of music are lame. Want some fingers to be pointed? ALL OF THIZZ ENTERTAINMENT. with the exception of the founders and people who were rappin with dre, little bruce, dubee, psd, j diggs, almost the entire rest of that lable has fucked off for too long... done deal if you ask me.

Aesop Rock None Shall Pass

Let me start off by saying i know this album is a little old by the standards of instantaneous gratification we are accustomed to but fuck it. There is no album i have heard since i really fell in love with music, that has grabbed at my eardrum as much as this minefield of lyrics and fuck fest of great beats. Aesop Rock has had brilliant albums, Labor Days is also a must have, but this album is as close to perfect as you can get. I still have yet to decode half his lyrics, he raps with such vivid imagery wrapped up in tornado of a pace, it's like you almost half to change the way you think about lyrics and words in general to sniff out all of his clever jabs. He himself has attached wings to his words with his own brilliant production. "Five Fingers" and "None Shall Pass" are obvious picks for being the shining stars on the album, but even the songs that don't smack you with that grabbing sound, the music is still phenomenal, and Aesop is at his finest. a quick but important high five to blockhead and rob sonic for producing as usual great music, the track sneaking on the back of coffee "Pigs" may be my favorite ASE song ever. Over a beat that sounds like it was made on a street in Frisco, with a junkie on a guitar, he raps

"Two-track braniac using the food and payroll
To chew up and consume every cookie, crumb, and peso
And place a cloven hoof on the lucrative when convenient
As the bourbon-odor smokers' coughs smolder off the Cohiba
If Noah had the benefit of hindsight on his ship
He could've snatched two unicorns and left behind the motherfucking pigs..."

When you actually pick up on the things he says, which i admit when i first heard him sounded like gibberish, you catch on to one of independent raps prime examples of outside the box thinking. I think he operates on a planet above lables and placement. So just grab the album, ask me to borrow it, i don't care what kind of music you like, delve into an album worth the time it takes to understand it. When i figure out how to post songs i will put a couple up. GET THE ALBUM.
